December 16th, 2009 admin No comments

Not so long ago, the background information of anyone was considered as confidential and not availble to the public but now the databases that hold this information are accessable to the public for a fee.

This means you can check the criminal history of just about anyone on earth. Some databases hold information of over 1 billion people which means that the chances of you finding the criminal background of someone you know is very high indeed.

Criminal Background Checks are used for many reasons but the main reason is to ensure that the person is not a risk to either someone personally or a business.

Nearly all businesses at some point will use a criminal background check service as its part of the standard operations when either employing someone new or finding a new supplier.

The business would not employ someone who maybe a risk to other workers, their clients or their reputation as a whole, so its very important for businesses to conduct these checks as it could end up a disaster for future business.

Landlords who rent out several properties may also conduct a criminal background check on a potential tenant. This is to ensure that the tenant will not pose as a risk to not only the neighbors, but the property itself. It helps you make solid decisions as you have done the research.

Background checks are not just for business as it can be used for personal reasons such as checking your childs school teachers, investigating a new babysitter, ensuring your local contractors are not a risk when working at your home as well as checking the background of a new lover.

Another great reason to use this kind of service would be if you regulary find dates on the internet. Its a very risky business when doing this as you may not know who the person is and if he/she is a risk to you and your family.

By conducting a background check you can verify that the information he/she provided was not fake and that their background does not include something that could potentially be a high risk to you such a sex offences or bodily harm violations.

You must ensure that you and your family are safe and by using a service such as Net Detective, You can perform a criminal background check on the person you are suspicious of.

Keeping Your Children Safe Online.

December 14th, 2009 admin No comments

Im sure you are aware that we live in an Internet Age. Its taking over everything. The power of the internet is beyond imagination and is growing everyday.

The children of today are pursuaded to get on the internet as it has alot to offer such as a free access to extra curriculum activities that allow them to increase their knowledge of many different subjects whilst having fun.

In todays world, your children will also chat with friends on the very popular social networks such as facebook, myspace or bebo as all of their school friends will be online after school and will join each other in multiplayer games that are provided to members.

The last thing you want for your child is to meet someone online that may harm them in real life and you may worry about what could happen as this is how parents react.

When your children go online, you may be busy and not keeping an eye on the computer, im sure if your son or daughter knew that you wanted to watch over them and everything they do to keep them safe, you would have a crisis on your hands as im sure there would be no agreement.

I have a solution that will help you keep a close eye on your children and is free to use. This little piece of software can log every key that is pressed and will allow you to monitor the conversations that your child has online as well as which websites are visited.

When you install the software found on Actual Keylogger, it runs in the background of your computer and will not be detected by your child. It logs every key that is pressed and is very powerful once you know how to use it.

If you become suspicious of any conversations held between your child and an unknown person, you will have the power to further investigate the people involved. You can become your own private investigator.

Lets just say that you want access to their facebook account. If you asked your child to provide you the login information, it would probably be changed by the next day as this is treated as private by your child. Its like reading their diary.

The software i mentioned above will show you their social network login details as it takes note of every key pressed on your computer. You can then use this to privately login to your childs account and vet all friends or messeges recieved within the account.

If you become suspicious of anything within the social network account then there are steps you can take to progress this investigation as keeping our childern safe online is one of our main priorities in todays age.

For the sake of this article, lets just say that you have installed the keylogger, found the login details and have logged into the social network account to find a messege within the account that involves your child been asked to meetup with an unknown person.

As you are logged in, you can view the profile of the person who has asked to meetup. Do a background check on the persons name and location. This will give you sufficient results to be able to take action on this situation or not.

With the background check results you will be able to determine whether or not the profile is a fake, or whether the person in question may be a risk to your child or not.

If your investigation suggests that their is a risk then you can confront your child to explain the risks involved as well as trying to prevent the meet up. If there seems to be no risk then i would still suggest keeping a close eye on the meetup.

You could perform an un-detected stake out which would invole you been in a hidden destination, close to the meet up place that was mentioned in the conversation you have logged. This would help you ensure your child is under no risk.

If you are single, then your main, free source of potential partners would be facebook as it has millions of users and more than likely you will fancy someone who is one of your friends, friends or someone that you have added to your friends list in the past.

What your not aware of is that anyone of these facebook profiles could be a fake. Convicted sex offenders can signup for an account, put up a fake profile and the send you a friend request.

I have asked a few of my family members if they accept a friend request if you dont recognise the person and over half of them answered yes, which is frightening when you think about it as this person you have added could be a risk to you.

Many people have found love on Facebook and people have lived happily ever after but it certainly does not always happen this way as i have also seen alot of horrific stories on the news.

One story that springs to mind is that of a 17 year old girl that was lured to her death by a 32 year old man who posed as a 16 year old on facebook. He digitally seduced her and then she decided to meet up for real. She was then later found in a ditch, murdered.
>>> Click Here for the full story.

This just goes to slow the lengths that individuals go to lure their next victim so you have to be very careful of who you meet up with as you never know what could happen. Im not trying to scare you, im just trying to explain how easily these attacks can happen and how you can prevent this happening to you.

You may never have thought about how you can avoid these attacks as many people are vunerable to teenage heart throbs and dont think of any dangers that may occur.

The person you meet up with could be a repeat sex offender and if you dont know about this information then you will putĀ  yourself into un necessary risk that you can avoid.

I know that you would be cautious about who you meet anyway but these criminals are very smart and if you are caught with your guard down it could spell disaster. There is a way you can be 100% certain that the person is safe and also a way to verify their address and personal information.

A background check provided by Net Detective can offer you the most comprehensive results on someone you want to know about. If the person that wants to meet you is genuine then if you ask them a few personal questions, they should be happy to provide valid answers.

First ask them their full name and age so you can start the search, enter their details and press search, within a minute or so you will have all the background information of this person. By that i mean, address, telephone number, relatives details, court records including any convictions and few other minor details.

Once you have theĀ  results you can then choose a few questions that will allow you to verify their answers. This will help you decide if firstly, this person has been honest and secondly, this person is not a sex offender or has any convictions that would pose as a risk to you or your family.

Finding love on facebook does not have to end in pain and misery. If you keep your wits about you and use the tools that have been made available to you then you will have no problems at all. Please be safe and stay in control, Do A Background Check on anyone you are not familiar with that wants to meet up with you for real.

Do You Feel Safe Online.

December 9th, 2009 admin No comments

Many of us internet users are blind to scams, un-reliable online retailers, or dealing with convicted criminals due to been complacent in the knowledge that you think you can sniff a rat and it will never happen to you.

In reality, its a very different ball game as these kind of people will probably be much smarter than you and will be armed with much more technological weaponry than you could ever imagine.

When you buy something online, you will more than likely go for sites such as amazon and ebay due to low cost and popularity but there is also a high percentage of people that will go to a different store as its offering the same thing for a few dollars less.

How do you know that this cheaper store is going to be as reliable as it states. Its easy for this company to display testamonials but you can make these up anyway.

If you could check the background of this company, you will have enough results to make a solid decision of whether to deal with this company or not. Dont forget, your credit card details may be at risk.

Everyone is looking for a bargain, lets face it, if i found the latest ipod on ebay for $100 but another unknown company was offering the same thing for $80, id be a little interested. I would probably spend sometime researching the company, as if it was legit, i would send over $80 in an instant.

The issue is that the majority of people who see something alot cheaper online will go to an un-popular store and pay for it without thinking and will get more than likely get scammed. Its like handing all your credit card details over to a stranger who could then make purchases at will, which would be a cost to your account.

If you dont know the history of the company or its not so popular online then you must do your research first. If you dont then your credit card details and any other details you have provided them with may be at risk. Do a background check on the company to ensure you dont make any mistakes.

Stay Safe On Social Networks.

Do you ever accept a friend request on facebook or myspace but you have no idea of who this person is.

What if the person you added is a repeat sex offender and you agree to meet up without knowing this, you would simply be putting yourself at risk of been attacked.

Im fully aware that if you have just ended a very strong relationship you will be vunerable and will more than likely agree to meet up with a stranger that has been showing you alot of attention or flirting with you online.

The world is full of predators and you could be the next victim so ensure that you do a background check on anyone who you have recently met on a social network if you have been asked to meet up in person.

Staying Safe On Social Networks.

December 8th, 2009 admin No comments

The amount of people that turn to social networks to find a new partner is increasing which means the risk of someone been attacked increases. How do you know that the person your meeting is exactly who they say they are. You cannot be certain.

You can become anyone you want online as its all pictures and text. Nothing is real but may look real so you have to be aware of who you are dealing with before you meet any one that you found on the internet.

Parents across the land are worrying about their children using social networks as there are predators roaming the internet, waiting to go in for the kill and it does happen, im sure youll agree that many stories about the social networks have made the headlines.

This is not new, people are very much aware that most people cannot be trusted, especially someone new that you have met on the internet either through an online game or a friend request that you accepted yet you did not know them.

If your searching for a new partner online you must be cautious, make sure you do a background check on this person to confirm that the details match their profile and that this person has not been convicted of a crime that may be a risk to you.

You can also confirm that this specific person in question is currently living at the address that you have found that is connected to their name. To do this you would simply ask for the person to provide you with an address and then cross reference that with the results from the background check.

This is not something that you would think about doing and that is why i have made this post as single people meeting someone from the internet carries a high risk, which could leave you either injured or in the worst case scenario, dead.

Staying Safe On Social Networks is an easy process yet people avoid doing the necessary checks putting them at a much more risk than those that do the checks.

Please make sure you are fully aware of who you meetup with, especially if you dont know this person and have met on the internet. There is a very dark side to life, so protect yourself and do a background check. This will allow you to avoid bad situations.

Search Police Records

December 7th, 2009 admin No comments

Have you ever wondered if someone was a criminal, arrested for violating the law? Generally, police reports are a matter of public record and can contain a wealth of information. A public record is simply information maintained by a government agency that can be linked to a specific person. You can complete a thorough background check of someone just by researching these records.

What type of information is in a police record?

Examples of police reports may include but are not limited to: domestic disputes, traffic accidents, thefts, fraud, assaults, burglaries, and stalking incidents. Other information that may be available includes crime surveys, crime statistics, calls for service, and traffic accident surveys.

Information that can be obtained from police reports includes identifying information of all involved parties and witnesses, such as full name, address, phone number, date of birth, social security number, driver’s license number, and any other identifying information. The report can also contain motor vehicle information, as well as specific details of the incident being documented, including any evidence recovered.

Where can I find a police record?

Access to these records varies greatly from one jurisdiction to another. In some areas, the information may be freely available, while in other areas the information may only be accessible to the parties involved in the incident or their agent (such as a lawyer). It is also possible that the record of a specific incident is readily available, but the identifying information of involved parties has been removed.

All requests for copies of police reports are made through the records division of the reporting agency. Some have online services, and you can receive the information directly over the Internet or through your personal e-mail. Other agencies require you to appear in person to request the information. They will normally charge a nominal processing fee to provide you with a copy of the report. The originating agency may also require a form of written disclaimer stating the information contained in the report will not be used for solicitation purposes.

If you wish to request a copy of a police report, you will normally be required to provide the first and last name of at least one of the involved parties, the location, date, and time of the incident, and in some cases, the incident or case number.

Some jurisdictions have regionalized their crime information into a joint database. Such information systems allow citizens to research crime statistics, view crime maps, see who is currently in jail, search for arrest warrants, and retrieve information about sex offenders living or working in a given area. Much of this information is readily available via the Internet.

Whatever your reasons for requesting police records, begin by researching the requirements of the police agency responsible for the jurisdiction in which the incident occurred, then follow their exact protocol for requesting and receiving those records.

Finding police records across multiple jurisdictions.

Conducting your investigation can become complicated if you need to do a background search on someone who has lived in multiple jurisdictions. To simplify things, an internet-based specialized investigation company, such as Net Detective, can provide a comprehensive, multi-state search in one easy step. This allows you to search multiple records from all over the country quickly and easily, without the hassle of tracking down individual records from various government entities.

Whether you want to find out what someone’s criminal past contains, or you are trying to locate someone who was involved in an accident with you, a background check using police records will likely give you the results you seek.

Who do You Trust? Should You?

December 7th, 2009 admin No comments

We all have someone in our lives with whom we feel we can share all of our thoughts and secrets. Usually it is a member of our family, or a schoolmate whose friendship has endured through the decades. These people have usually seen us at our best and at our worst, and they have been right there by our sides to see us through it all. Such friends and family share in the triumphs and suffer through the sorrows. There are no ulterior motives.

Many of us also have friends we have known for quite some time, who are always open and friendly, but never really help carry the burden when the going gets tough. Or we have family members who suddenly pop into our lives from seemingly nowhere.

How many of these people do you trust? Would you trust them with your life? Can you trust them with a secret? Or do you trust no one?

Be careful who you trust – your welfare may depend upon it

When it comes to matters of great importance, we must be very cautious with our secrets. How many times have you heard stories of the trusted caregiver stealing his or her elderly charge blind? Suddenly a helpless senior citizen with no family to speak of is left destitute, their life’s savings stolen from them by the very person who was supposed to care for them.

Or, how many times have you seen one person suddenly befriend another, only because they wanted something they couldn’t otherwise attain? Remember Selena, the singer? Her trusted manager and friend not only stole from her, but she eventually killed her.

How do you know who you can trust, or if you even should? In cases of close family, you most likely already know who has stood by you through it all and who has not. However, when it comes to other people, use caution and trust your judgment.

Research their intentions and past, easily and legally

If you feel someone has befriended you because they want something from you, play detective and try to find out what that person’s wants and needs are. Learning what they lack in their life may very well hold the key to what they are looking for from you – giving you the knowledge to protect yourself and your assets.

If you suspect your newfound friend is in financial trouble, try looking into court records to see if any bankruptcies have been filed, or any judgments have been made against that person. Look for property foreclosures, IRS or other tax liens, or court-ordered wage garnishments. Try to determine if your friend has a gambling problem.

On the other hand, you may suspect your new friend is a thief, or running from someone. A personal background check should reveal secrets about your friend’s life, including any criminal misconduct.

Most of this investigation can be done via the Internet by searching public records. However, you may have to dig into many different databases to get the answers you want. If you are looking for an easy, quick way to search an individual’s true history, an online background check service, such as Net Detective, is an affordable way to search all available databases from one location.

Looking into someone’s past may not seem necessary, but it will be well worth it if it saves you the headache of a stolen identity or an empty bank account. It will also be worth it if you are able to forge one of those rare, lifelong friendships.

New Friends Online? Check Them Out Before Getting Too Close.

December 7th, 2009 admin No comments

The Internet has become one of the latest places to meet people. Whether you are looking for a casual friend or a romantic interlude, it can all be found on the worldwide web. Places like Facebook and Myspace give you a forum to express yourself to others, and the number of matchmaker sites these days is overwhelming.

If you have ever spent any time meeting and greeting on the web, you know that most people are not exactly what they make themselves out to be. Some of them have gone so far as to create an entire alternate identity.

Despite the dangers, the rewards of meeting online can be great. You have the opportunity to get to know others from all over the world. You make new and interesting friends from places you may never have visited. It provides an excellent opportunity for us to share our cultures and open our minds to new possibilities.

Who is really behind that screen name?

When you make new friends online, how do you know if they are trustworthy? Can you really afford to get close to them, or are Internet friendships best kept very casual?

As with any new relationship, go slowly and proceed with caution. Keep the topics of conversation neutral and safe – never discuss anything personal with someone you do not know. Be instantly suspicious if your new friend begins questioning you about your finances.

If you have been conversing with someone for a while and feel a connection, you may decide you want to take the friendship a step further. You may begin to share more personal details of your life, or you may begin making plans to meet each other in person.

Take smart measures to protect yourself!

Before taking this step towards increased intimacy, be sure to reasonably protect yourself. First of all, try to validate your new friend’s identity and ensure they really are who they say they are. Search records from the Department of Motor Vehicles in your friend’s area and see if you can locate a license or identification card that matches the name, date of birth, physical description, and address of your new friend. If you cannot find a matching motor vehicle record, try voter registration records.

One of the best ways to protect yourself is to conduct an online background check of your friend. Any court documents from judgments, divorces, or lawsuits should contain some sort of identifying information you can verify. Criminal history checks will normally provide you with a date of birth and physical description, including any major scars or tattoos.

There are also specialized background check companies, such as Net Detective, who for a small fee, give you the ability to search all of the above records and more. You must do a little sleuth work of your own, though, and find out some important key identifiers from your new friend so you will know when you have found him or her.

Meeting on the Internet can be exciting. You must just ensure you go about it prudently, and protect yourself until you have solid facts reinforcing your ability to put your trust into your new friend.
