Keeping Your Children Safe Online.
Im sure you are aware that we live in an Internet Age. Its taking over everything. The power of the internet is beyond imagination and is growing everyday.
The children of today are pursuaded to get on the internet as it has alot to offer such as a free access to extra curriculum activities that allow them to increase their knowledge of many different subjects whilst having fun.
In todays world, your children will also chat with friends on the very popular social networks such as facebook, myspace or bebo as all of their school friends will be online after school and will join each other in multiplayer games that are provided to members.
The last thing you want for your child is to meet someone online that may harm them in real life and you may worry about what could happen as this is how parents react.
When your children go online, you may be busy and not keeping an eye on the computer, im sure if your son or daughter knew that you wanted to watch over them and everything they do to keep them safe, you would have a crisis on your hands as im sure there would be no agreement.
I have a solution that will help you keep a close eye on your children and is free to use. This little piece of software can log every key that is pressed and will allow you to monitor the conversations that your child has online as well as which websites are visited.

Lets just say that you want access to their facebook account. If you asked your child to provide you the login information, it would probably be changed by the next day as this is treated as private by your child. Its like reading their diary.

As you are logged in, you can view the profile of the person who has asked to meetup. Do a background check on the persons name and location. This will give you sufficient results to be able to take action on this situation or not.
With the background check results you will be able to determine whether or not the profile is a fake, or whether the person in question may be a risk to your child or not.
If your investigation suggests that their is a risk then you can confront your child to explain the risks involved as well as trying to prevent the meet up. If there seems to be no risk then i would still suggest keeping a close eye on the meetup.
You could perform an un-detected stake out which would invole you been in a hidden destination, close to the meet up place that was mentioned in the conversation you have logged. This would help you ensure your child is under no risk.
